Yusrina is all about overcoming insurmountable barriers. She became the first female Malay Singaporean to climb and reach the top of Mount Everest in 2017. Her first attempt 2 years prior was cut short due to a deadly earthquake in Nepal but she persevered and reached the summit in her second expedition in spite of her teammates’ challenges with their well-being.

Today, Yusrina inspires the next generation of women as a Physical Education Teacher with the Ministry of Education.
