Zulayqha is a strong advocate for the underprivileged, believing that every individual deserves the right to good living despite their financial situations. She previously worked as a social work associate with the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS), serving those with special needs, and subsequently joined the FRCS Family Service Centre, where she honed her social work skills to handle a diverse demographic of clients. She was also awarded the Straits Times Generation Grit Award.
Zulayqha started her own ground-up initiative called ‘Project Hills’ to aid low-income families living in rental estates, understand their needs and conditions, and foster trust and strong bonds with them. When she is not busy serving as an agent of change, Zulayqha enjoys running, cooking, scrap-booking and trying her hand at horticulture.
